This year, the Mexxx Gay Bar is once again being transformed into a place of celebration and horror. To match the occasion, the Mexxx is aglow in neon colours. Cobwebs and shrouds line the way to the bar. Masks hanging from the ceiling grin at you. The question ‘Why do you actually have a mask on?’ takes on a whole new meaning.
During the spooky night, the bartenders offer a gory drink – the pomegranate mimosa. Whether you’re a vampire twink, werewolf puppy or Bigfoot bear, this is the night when Salzburg’s creepiest creatures gather to celebrate Halloween together until the early hours of the morning. So it’s best to always be friendly. You never know who’s hiding behind the next mask. (sb)
