Lesbian love story “PARA:DIES” at the queer film evening
Jasmin and Lee love and argue, laugh and cry, relentlessly negotiate the shoals of closeness and distance, of strength and weakness in front of the camera of documentary filmmaker Amira. What begins harmoniously becomes more and more of a power struggle, in which the woman behind the camera is also drawn in. In the extremely refreshing debut of the acting, writing and directing duo Elena Wolff and Julia Windischbauer, a relationship is amusingly and touchingly dissected with authentic dialogue and feelings between belonging and loneliness. The film was made in 2022 in the countryside near Salzburg. Director Elena Wolff will be present in person. The queer film evening is a cooperation between DAS Kino and HOSI Salzburg.
