Pride Night Kitchen Club at Olina’s
At Pride Night Kitchen Club, Uli Helminger celebrates the preparation of a Thanksgiving meal.
Thanksgiving is a public holiday in the United States celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is the most important family celebration of the year in North America and centres around a large dinner.
This meal is also the focus of Sandra Perrotta’s Pride Night Kitchen Club at Olina’s kitchen studio. On 21 November, guest chef Uli Helminger will prepare a typical Thanksgiving meal as maître de cuisine.
“At this cooking event, we will prepare a traditional American Thanksgiving menu. This includes the famous turkey, glazed carrots, sweet potato puree, the well-known pumpkin pie and peanut butter ice cream. A cooking session where being together and preparing a feast together is celebrated,“ said Uli in his description.
Uli Helminger is no longer an unknown figure in the queer scene in Salzburg. At the Pride Festival, he presented the Pride Night Kitchen Club in an educational and delicious way to a larger group of participants. After a sumptuous meal, the participants went home with expanded culinary horizons and a little tipsy. Participation in the Thanksgiving cooking event costs €79.
