Queer Poetry Slam 2024
Continuation of the successful and inspiring poetry slam from last year’s Pride Week
An evening full of poetry and passion – in this poetry competition, seven poets will vie for the audience’s favour with their texts – as part of the Salzburg Pride Festival. Sometimes the poetic words will make you think, sometimes the tears will flow and sometimes you could almost fall off your chair laughing. This evening promises an emotional rollercoaster ride and diverse voices creatively expressing their experiences, questions about identity and the power of the community. At the Pride Slam, the words fly and the emotions speak.
As this year’s venue, the Toihaus theatre in the Andräviertel, is smaller than last year’s Jazzit, there will be two poetry slams this year. One at 6pm and one at 8pm. (pg)
