Stories of brave explorations in breathtaking nature
From 8 to 19 November 2023, Salzburg will once again become the hub for mountain lovers and alpine adventurers from all over the world. The 29th Salzburg Mountain Film Festival with the motto “Adventure Mountain – Adventure Film” promises an exciting and inspiring week full of stories of courageous explorations, breathtaking nature and film screenings in the by then completely renovated “Das Kino”.
From Simon Messner’s insight into traditional alpinism and first ascents to Gregor Sieböck’s captivating interim balance after 20,000 kilometres walked worldwide. Christian Korherr and documentary filmmaker Markus Henssler take the audience on their adventurous expedition across Europe’s largest glacier, while Salzburg documentary filmmaker Bernhard Braunstein offers an insight into the lives of young winter athletes at the elite boarding school in Stams. These stories and many more will give you an insight into the world of adventure in the mountains.
