A frivolous everyman

The exhibition “Generation of Everybody” is on show at the Zwergelgarten Gallery until 18 August. Theme: Interpretation of the stage plays “Everybody” and “Everybody Dies”, including ink drawings by Erika Landertinger. The audio exhibition accompaniment calls the room the red light district of the overall exhibition. Indeed: with her style, the artist interprets the theme in her very own way. [Read more]

Salzburg gets in the mood for Pride

The press conference on the Salzburg Pride at the arte Hotel Salzburg succeeded in convincingly integrating queer lifeworlds into the reality of the human rights city of Salzburg. The press (TV, print, online) came in large numbers and questions were asked for discussion, which revealed some interesting points of view. [Read more]

Art, Culture & History in July

From mid-July onwards, the Salzburg Festival will start a cultural fireworks display in all cultural areas of the city on the Salzach. Queer Short Film Festival, Gallery Weekend, Queer City Tour: the city pulsates and shows its many facets. Queer June in Salzburg

This will be the Salzburg Pride 2022

This year, Pride Weekend Salzburg will become Pride Week Salzburg. A week full of programmes for the visibility of the rainbow in the city on the Salzach. Filth and trash

Filth and trash are terms for so-called gutter literature, which was widespread from the beginning of the 20th century and in which crimes and vices were published. These booklets were usually traded under the counter. The Museum der Moderne Salzburg is showing examples by Oskar Kokoschka and Käthe Kollwitz, among others, until 4 September. [Read more]

Countdown to the Long Night of Diversity

After the vernissage and the crime dinner, Gigi LaPajette will be in Salzburg from Wednesday to make the final preparations for the Long Night of Diversity, the next queer highlight in the city of Mozart.
