„All You Need Is…?“

After a three-month Corona break, the Salzburg Landestheater will be back in front of audiences starting next weekend, June 12-14: The musical solo evening “All You Need Is…?” with Sophie Mefan makes the post-Corona start in the Kammerspiele.

“All You Need Is…?” is a musical declaration of love to life in all its diversity! An evening inspired by the Instagram account, blog and bestselling book “Humans of New York“. In it, photographer Brandon Stanton tells the unique stories of ordinary people he met on the streets of New York City. Sophie Mefan moved these portraits full of honesty and depth to a musical program, in which she slips into different roles, makes different life stories and events come alive and thus creates a web of relationships in which each person is connected to the other. Sophie Mefan enchants her audience with every single song and opens the window to different worlds that are nevertheless all interconnected.

From the Friedrichstadtpalast to her own program

Audiences have come to love and appreciate Sophie Mefan as a strong stage personality since the beginning of the 2019/2020 season. As Columbia in “The Rocky Horror Show”, as Eliza in “My Fair Lady” and also with striking performances in the Salzburg Landestheater’s spoken theater productions. In the midst of her first busy season, she participated in the prestigious National Singing Competition in Berlin, winning 1st prize in the Musical/Chanson division. The award was crowned by the winners’ concert at the Friedrichstadtpalast. This was inspiration enough to take the next logical step and develop her own program.

The Salzburg Landestheater has presented its 2020/21 schedule. A full program of theater, opera, musical and ballet, partly with made up premieres from the season 2019/20, which ended abruptly by Corona. The video gives a preview.
