#kleinePauseMozart with the first house concert
Benjamin Schmid & Ariane Haering play Mozart & Beethoven as part of the Corona-conditional #kleinepausemozart.
It is still uncertain when the two concert halls of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg – the Great Hall and the Vienna Hall – will sound again. Until then, as part of the #kleinepausemozart of the Mozarteum Foundation, the musicians come into the living room at home. The Salzburg violinist Benjamin Schmid will kick things off; he will be accompanied by his wife Ariane Haering on the piano.
Benjamin Schmid is at home on stages all over the world and also performs regularly at the Mozarteum Foundation. Benjamin Schmid was actually scheduled to play in the Great Hall in March, and a replacement date for this concert is being prepared. Now, together with his wife, the celebrated violinist is participating in the online campaign #kleinePauseMozart. The two are broadcasting a Mozarteum house concert from their own four walls. Sonatas for piano and violin can be heard: Mozart K. 377, Allegro, Mozart K. 377, Theme con variationi. Andante and Beethoven op.12/3 in E flat, Allegro con spirito.
A concert played with dedication, with a short introduction by Benjamin Schmid, making the experience of classical music accessible online in these gloomy times and keeping the anticipation of upcoming concerts alive. Enjoy!
