“We celebrate life, diversity and love” is how the HOSI Salzburg sums up this year’s Pride. After the strains of the pandemic, this is more urgent than ever. From 3 to 5 September, Salzburg will once again be under the sign of the rainbow. Since today (15 June), the programme for this year’s Pride has been finalised and we can look forward to a colourful programme with the Salzburg community in the beautiful city on the Salzach: Love is in the Air at CSD Salzburg 2021.

Friday evening (3.09.) starts at 7 pm with a warm-up in the rooms of the HOSI Salzburg. The Salzburg Pride Collection will be presented at the Rainbow Market. From 8 p.m. Drag Queen Gigi La Pajette invites you to bingo, at 9 p.m. the CSD Salzburg will be officially opened. From 10 p.m. the “Queer Night” in the Mexxx Gaybar and the Fetish Night in the Dark Eagle are planned. As we have heard, we can expect a lot of sash wearers from the European fetish community again this year.

On Saturday (4.09.) the Queer City Tour starts at 12 noon. City guide Roman Forisch will tell anecdotes about places where homosexual personalities are known to have worked. Because even 1200 years ago, homosexuals had a decisive influence on the fate of the city (max. 25 participants, 12€, registration gay@austria-guides.eu).

The parade will line up from 4 pm, the Pride walk will start at 5 pm. Accompanied by music, the procession goes to Uniplatz in front of ARGEKultur, interrupted by two rallies at the Chamber of Labour and Mirabellplatz.

From 7 pm there will be a closing programme with art, culture and acrobatics. This year there will be far fewer speeches, but more fun and amazement. For example with a circus acrobat, a really cute singer-songwriter and other acts. More about that later in the Salzburg Queer update. Around 9 pm the Pride Night, the CSD festival, the gay party night will start in the ARGEKultur, an event centre that has proven itself for this purpose.

On Sunday (5.09.), the Café am Kai directly on the Salzach will be hosting a Pride brunch and farewell from 9 am. With a great view of the world-famous backdrop of Salzburg.
