A special place to experience Salzburg is the rooftop bar “hu:goes14” on the 14th floor of the arte Hotel at Salzburg’s main train station. There you have – with a drink – a fantastic panoramic view of the city by day and night, you are in Salzburg at the top.

At the end of October 2020, on a wonderful late summer day, Gigi LaPajette showed Sven and Jasim the magnificent scenic backdrop of Salzburg from the Rooftop Bar. You look out over the city and the mountains behind it. And at details of city life. Toy-sized people, cars, trains and more. The arte Hotel is part of the Perrons, a builing-complex along platform 1 of Salzburg’s main train station that opened about a year ago.

The Perron is also home to the Salzburg branch of Fit Inn. For visitors who don’t want to miss out on their workout even on vacation. Well-equipped and with a view of the tracks of Salzburg’s main train station, individual admissions without membership are possible here daily from 6 am. to 12 am., even for tourists. Since recently, day memberships are no longer possible here. Even when asked, we have not yet been able to make sense of it. We will ask the head office in Vienna.

You don’t have to be a hotel guest to visit the Rooftop Bar of the arte Hotel Salzburg. Anyone can take the elevator from the hotel lobby to the top and admire Salzburg from above while having a drink. The breakfast room with a view is on the 15th floor. On the 16th is the visitable roof terrace with a stationary telescope.

The arte Hotel Salzburg is a good accommodation option for the CSD and the Pride Festival Salzburg 2024 from 30 August to 8 September 2024 – for international guests from near (Germany, Switzerland, Italy) and far (Europe, overseas). Experience Salzburg at night from above in the Rooftop Bar with a drink between events. Or breakfast on the 15th floor with a fantastic view of everything that awaits you this week. Or sunbathe on the newly refurbished roof terrace with bar on the 16th floor.
