Salzburg Queer Update

16.05.2022 The new Salzburg Gay Guide is here! Until spring 2023, this guide is once again full of queer and cultural events in the beautiful city on the Salzach – on 68 pages, in German and English. Starting this week, the guide is available in the Bruno Stores in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. Subscribers to mate, Spartacus Traveller and Display (Switzerland) will receive the guide with the next issue of the magazine. In Salzburg, the guide is available in the queer venues. And Tourismus Salzburg will send the guide by post on request. The e-paper can be found here at gaysalzburg.at

14.05.2022 Here is the programme for tonight’s Long Night of Diversity. From 6 p.m. at the HOSI Salzburg the opening, from 7 p.m. at participating trendy shops Mexxx Gaybar, Dark Eagle and Fungo Bar. The Andräviertel is expecting guests from near and far in the best early summer weather.

28.04.2022 Pride Weekend Salzburg will become Pride Week Salzburg in 2022. From 29 August to 4 September, Salzburg will once again be under the sign of the rainbow. The success of the last years logically leads to more public interest and so there will be diverse events in almost all areas of the city from 29 August. Not only the community is in the focus but also the rich offer of cultural institutions in Salzburg will be reflected in the planning of Pride Week Salzburg. At the end of June in the preliminary programme and from the beginning of August in the complete programme of CSD Salzburg 2022.

21.04.2022 The vernissage of Elfriede Pöttgen and her photo book campaign “ICH” tonight at the Living Room was a complete success – there is no other way to describe it. About 250 guests attended the presentation of the portrait photography of about 60 protagonists of the LGBT scene in Salzburg. In a hitherto virgin location for the queer scene in Salzburg, the Living Room. This was also a complete success. The Salzburg press was present, the Salzburger Nachrichten had announced this event attentively. Proof of the integrative function that the HOSI Salzburg performs for queer lifestyles in the city of Mozart. Tomorrow, on 22 April, there will be a queer party with Djane Petra Pan at the same location. She had to go home early today because she still has to work for tomorrow night. And on Saturday, 23.04. there will be a showdown of Austrian drag queens at the Crime Dinner. Where? In the Living Room, of course, which will experience its queer baptism of fire this weekend. What happens next? More tomorrow.
