That was the Pride Night Salzburg 2024
This Pride Night last Saturday (7 September) must have been the best-attended HOSI festival ever. So full, so colourful and such a great atmosphere – at all levels: That was Pride Night Salzburg 2024
The HOSI Pride festival was a good reflection of the diversity of the queer scene in the province of Salzburg. All groups, preferences and inclinations were represented – the party had an enormous buzz.
The show act on the big stage was fascinating. A 75-year-old entertained the predominantly young audience as Germany’s longest-serving drag queen. France Delon captivated the crowd with her charm and dry humour.
Meanwhile, DJ Ambjörn Söderg from Oslo rocked the fetish clubbing with his darkroom sounds in the basement. Unfortunately without a big screen this time.
In addition, the ARGE Beisl had a marvellous outdoor dining area, so the party kept spilling in here too. A queer Pride party in a class of its own. That was Pride Night Salzburg 2024. Peter Goebel. All photos gaysalzburg.at/Carina Karolus
Frida's world
Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist who painted many self-portraits due to her painful life story. As a Marxist, she was an important voice in political Mexico and had an eventful love life. She had affairs with both men and women while she was married to her husband. Now the Salzburg State Theatre is bringing "Frida's World" to the stage as a ballet from October.
That was the Pride Parade Salzburg 2024
The Salzburg Pride Festival, which ended the day before yesterday (7.09.), once again highlighted the enormous progress in the exchange that the city's queer community now has with Salzburg's urban society. However, the Pride parade also expressed concern about the outcome of the national elections in Austria on 29 September.
