That was the Pride Parade Salzburg 2024
Christopher Street Day traditionally consists of the Pride Parade and Pride Night. Embedded in the Salzburg Pride Festival again this year. This was the CSD Parade Salzburg 2024.
The week of events went off without a hitch. Here is a review of it. Most people associate Pride with the parade and Pride Night – just like last Saturday, 7 September 2024.
From 4 p.m., a large crowd of visitors once again gathered in front of Salzburg Central Station. From there, the parade made its way to Mirabellplatz, where the political demands were presented.
The actual message was ‘Go vote on 29 September!’ The prospect of an FPÖ-led federal government is unlikely to sit well with the queer community nationwide. This fear could also be read on quite a few of the banners carried.
The fact that three trucks travelled along this year was an enrichment. Cool music and a real rave atmosphere on all three vehicles.
This was the Pride Parade Salzburg 2024, which concluded at Uniplatz with short speeches and the blessing of MLC Salzburg member Herwig by three Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence who were present. Afterwards, the event moved to the ARGE Kultur right next door – to the HOSI Pride Fest, commonly known as Pride Night. More on this shortly. Peter Goebel
