Vernissage, Crime Dinner and Queer Party

On the first weekend in February (postponed to 21-23 April due to corona) a special event will take place in Salzburg, a special queer event with “Vernissage, Krimi-Dinner und Queer Party”

Anyone who has followed the Facebook page of HOSI Salzburg closely in the weeks after the last CSD in September 2021 will not have missed the name Elfriede Pöttgen. Photographer Elfriede Pöttgen and her intern Elias-Max Bornemann have taken on the task of photographing 50 LGBTIQ* people with the project “ICH” and recording these images in an artful photo book. People, mostly from Salzburg, who represent the visibility of the rainbow in all areas of the city (scene, culture, gastronomy…). With their project, Elfriede and Max give all participants the opportunity to have their “I” portrayed. Ellfriede Pöttgen will present these pictures together with some photo models in a vernissage with a humorous programme on Thursday 21.04. from 7 pm in the Living-Room at Bayerhamerstr. 18 (Salzburg). Admission is free.

Queer Party on Friday evening

“We want to round off the weekend with a proper party. Grab your friends and celebrate a really great project with us,” writes the HOSI Salzburg in its press release on the 3rd act of this queer weekend – the queer party night. Djane Petra Pan will heat up the music. Those who have already experienced Petra Pan live know that she is a bundle of energy who plays with the audience. Petra Pan was also photographed by Elfriede Pöttgen for the “ICH” campaign. The party starts on 22.04. at 7 pm. Admission 10€. Advance booking is recommended.

“Crime and Dine on Saturday evening

Under the title “Maximilian’s Birthday”, the interactive mystery dinner with exciting party guests starts on Friday, 23 April at 7.30 pm. Everyone plays a role and is part of the action. Austria’s most beautiful drag queens will lead the evening. Among them is the fantastic Gigi La Pajette, accompanied by her sisters, cousins and friends who are just as grandiose: Sindy Sinful from Tyrol, Grazia Patricia from Vienna, Miss LaThoya from Burgenland, Trina Crystal from Salzburg and the French Mademoiselle Giselle from Vienna. Admission costs €65 (available now in advance). The ticket includes a welcome drink, a 3-course menu and a role in the crime play. Admission from 6:30 pm in the Living Room at Bayerhamerstr. 18 (Salzburg).

So “ICH” („I“) have a queer date in Salzburg on the third weekend in April: vernissage, crime dinner and queer party. Considering the many events cancelled due to Corona, this is a good opportunity to catch up. And to join a new event format in Salzburg’s queer scene.

21.-23.04.2022 Vernissage, Crime Dinner and Queer Party All events: Living-Room at Bayerhamerstr. 18 (Salzburg). The HOSI in Gabelsberger Straße is closed this weekend. Info and tickets HOSI Salzburg

Update: due to the corona pandemic, this event weekend has been moved from 3-5 February to 21-23 April 2022.
