9 months Salzburg
The new Salzburg Gay Guide went to press yesterday (29.07.). On 68 pages this edition presents scene highlights and cultural highlights in Salzburg in the next 9 months until April 2022.
No matter how the pandemic develops, Salzburg is worth a trip under almost any circumstances – with all the great events coming up. Be it in December for Christmas shopping in combination with queer events and a visit to the Winter Festival or simply for a long weekend in early 2022.
In the wrong body
For example, from the beginning of March with a visit to “Lili – The Danish Girl” at the Salzburg Landestheater. A ballet in which the exciting story of Eijnar Wegener alias Lili Elbe is told from 12 March. Probably the first person to undergo gender reassignment surgery. The approach taken by ballet director Reginaldo Oliveira is described in the new guide.
Indie and Electro
In January and April 2022 there are two noteworthy concert dates at the Rockhouse Salzburg. At the beginning of his tour “Konturen” the smart singersongwriter Johannes Oerding will guest in Salzburg. In April, “Ätna“ from Dresden will follow at the same venue with an extraordinary mix of indie and electro, paired with almost hypnotizing vocals.
200 kilometers per hour
The new guide also provides an outlook on Salzburg’s enchanting surroundings. There are numerous attractive destinations in the Salzburg region. For example, Hellbrunn Palace, which immerses visitors in a special world with its water features. Or the Locomotive World in Freilassing, which illustrates 150 years of railroad history at this border station to Salzburg. For railroad fans, like myself, a must.
9 months Salzburg – from September 2021 to April 2022: Many more special scene and cultural events can be found in the new guide. It will be available from August 10 in Bruno’s stores in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. Subscribers to mate magazine, Spartacus Traveller or Display magazine in Switzerland will receive the new Salzburg Guide by mail. Likewise all, which order with Brunos on-line. All others can easily order the guide at Tourismus Salzburg, then a copy will be delivered free of charge. And the e-paper can be found here.
Enjoy being inspired for a trip to the beautiful city on the Salzach.

Hellbrunn Palace was built about 400 years ago by Prince Archbishop Markus Sittikus – as a pleasure palace and summer residence. gaysalzburg.at visited the palace, the fountains and the extensive park with Selina and Lisa from Salzburg and Christoph and Andreas from Vienna.
