As part of the queer film evening, “The Five Devils” by French filmmaker Léa Mysius is on the programme in April.
“The Five Devils” is ultimately a complex family drama about love and jealousy that leaves well-trodden cinematic paths. In a combination of mystery, fantasy, family drama, coming out and coming-of-age, the director breaks new ground that may not always be conclusive, but is at least always interesting,” says the Filmstarts portal in its Rezension The film is a powerful story about a girl on the threshold of adulthood.
