The International Ballet Gala in Salzburg has become a delightful crystallisation point in Salzburg’s theatre year. Peter Breuer and Reginaldo Oliveira extend an invitation – and star soloists from renowned international companies make their way to join the dancers of the Salzburg ensemble in an evening of dance in a class of its own to show that Salzburg is not only a city of opera and theatre, but also a city of ballet.
The fireworks of dance serve a good cause: it has always been part of the basic concept of this gala that it is held for the benefit of Aidshilfe in Salzburg. Early ticket reservations are recommended for the gala evening at the Salzburg Landestheater, as the large fan community of ballet and dance is already eagerly awaiting the event.
