Queer short film festival with 15 films and a HOSI Salzburg workshop

On 14 December, the Queer Short Film Festival will bring stories from queer life to the screen at MARK Salzburg. A wide-ranging selection of fifteen short film productions make up the programme of this year’s queer short film festival at the Kulturhaus Mark. From short feature films to documentaries and animated films, all in different languages with German and English subtitles.

As an introduction to the evening, HOSI Salzburg organises a workshop on sexual orientation and gender identity. The following 1st film block shows short feature films and documentaries with German subtitles, such as “Blue Boy” by Manuel Abramovich, which follows the story of seven Romanian sex workers in a Berlin gay bar.

After a break in between, the programme continues with the 2nd film block, which consists of animated films by artists from all over the world. Here you can enter a Japanese battlefield for a moment in “SHUDŌ” by To-Anh Bach and Charles Badiller, characterised by the feelings of second samurai, or follow the story of a Parisian drag dynasty in “The Von Lear Dynasty” by Claire Launay and Sebastien Kirszenblat.
