Pride Boat
On June 20, the summer party of the year for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people & friends will take place: the Pride Boat on Lake Wolfgang. A colorful party crowd gathers on a ship with DJs and gastro on board. The boat cruises across the lake, stops for swimming stops and when the moon rises, the lake appears in an enchanting light. Unforgettable! Shuttle buses run from Mirabellplatz to Mondsee and back. The Prideboat is a must in my queer annual calendar.

Marsha and Sylvia
The much under-recognized heroines of Stonewall were Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Johnson was an African-American transgender woman and LGBT activist, and was particularly vocal about her support for trans people of color. Johnson was a regular guest at the Stonewall Inn in 1969, along with Sylvia Rivera. [Read more]
