Long Night of Diversity in October

There is now a new date for the Long Night of Diversity. Instead of the originally planned date of 9 May, Gigi LaPajette is now inviting a diverse party crowd to the Long Night of Diversity on 17 October. A varied programme of cabaret, games and entertainment will then take place all night in four trendy shops in Salzburg. For a good cause.

This means that there are three events coming up in autumn, each of which is reason enough to plan a trip to Salzburg. From 4-6 September, the HOSI celebrates the Pride with a Pride Weekend. On 19 September, the MS Salzburg will set sail at the Pride Boat on Lake Wolfgang. Also a full weekend from Friday evening to Sunday morning. And finally, the Long Night of Diversity on 17 October rounds off the hot autumn for the LGBTI scene in Salzburg.

Now that the hotels in Salzburg will also be reopening from the end of May and the borders will be passable for tourists from mid-June, there is nothing to stop you from considering Salzburg as a destination for autumn. Salzburg is not far away and easy to reach by car, train or plane.

Salzburg’s museums and sights will reopen in stages from mid-May. What will become of this year’s Salzburg Festival is still open. However, the exhibition “Great World Theatre – 100 Years of the Salzburg Festival” is definitely recommended. Because in 2020 the Salzburg Festival will be 100 years old and this will be honoured with a national exhibition. In addition to the chronology of the Festival, documents, stories and original pieces from productions of the last 100 years will be on display. This exhibition has been extended until October 2021 due to corona-related circumstances.

In autumn, there are not only a lot of scene events in Salzburg, but the cultural landscape is also present again. It should be easy to combine one interest with the other.
