Salzburg Pride

From June 5-7, the Salzburg community celebrates the Salzburg Pride under the motto “Let’s get loud!”. On Pride Weekend, the parade will lead from Salzburg’s main train station through the city center to the ARGEkultur on Saturday from 6 pm. There, the political statement will then be reaffirmed at the HOSI-Fest as a Pride party with a boisterous party until the early morning, including after-parties in the Salzburg scene. Already on Friday evening, the Salzburg scene meets in the HOSI bar, the Mexxx and the Dark Eagle and takes a run-up for Saturday. On Sunday from 9 a.m. there will be an extensive breakfast brunch at Café am Kai, directly on the banks of the Salzach, where you can end the 2nd Salzburg Pride.

With this, the Salzburg Pride honors the beginning of today’s gay and lesbian movement 51 years ago in New York and reaffirms the demand for social acceptance. This weekend, Salzburg is all about the rainbow.

Update (11.06.): The Salzburg Pride has been postponed to the weekend of September 4-6. The parade will take place in any case, whether the Pride Night at the HOSI festival planned for September 5 can go over in the known form, will be seen in early July, when the Austrian government will announce the next decisions on crowds after Corona.

Also for the Pride Boat a new date could be found successfully. Two weeks after the Pride, i.e. on the weekend of September 18-20, it’s “cast off” for the Pride Boat on Lake Wolfgang. And probably on October 17, Gigi LaPajette will invite to the Long Night of Diversity originally planned for May 9.
