Destination Mozart is the motto of Mozart Week 2025.
Destination Mozart – this is the motto of the Mozart Week 2025. All roads lead to Mozart – via Monteverdi, Bach and Handel, whose works fit perfectly with Mozart’s rich oeuvre and who were pioneers, inspirations and role models for him.
Destination Mozart – that is grand opera with Monteverdi’s impressive masterpiece ‘L’Orfeo’, staged by Nikolaus Habjan, musically accompanied by Christina Pluhar and her original sound ensemble L’Arpeggiata.
Destination Mozart – that is opulent orchestral sound and fine chamber music. The Vienna Philharmonic will perform with Ádám Fischer, Igor Levit, Sonya Yoncheva, Oksana Lyniv and Juan Diego Flórez, among others. Old master Jordi Savall with Le Concert des Nations, the Collegium Vocale Gent with Philippe Herreweghe, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with Mitsuko Uchida, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe with Robin Ticciati. Star pianist Fazil Say and the lautten compagney BERLIN will also be performing.
Destination Mozart – that’s Mozart’s ‘Gärtnerin aus Lieb’ as a puppet show, but street dance, pub quizzes and silent film cinema also lead the way to Mozart!
