On May 9, Salzburg’s LGBTIQ scene celebrates the “Long Night of Diversity”. Hosted by HOSI Salzburg and Gigi La Pajette, probably the weirdest charity event in Salzburg. At 6:30 p.m. the event opens at the HOSI bar, and from 8 p.m. onwards a program of drag queens, dancers and walking acts, handbag throwing, bang-you-in-the-wound contest, porn karaoke, dildo target throwing, and much more takes place in three other trendy stores, Dark Eagle, Mexxx and Fungo Bar. There are several prizes to be won, sponsored by Salzburg companies.

Almost 50 people are volunteering with Gigi La Pajette to prepare and run this top event. At the Long Night of Diversity, the most diverse genders get together. The whole spectrum of the rainbow shines over Salzburg on this night.

All stores are within walking distance of each other about 3-12 minutes. Thereby you roam through the Andräviertel of Salzburg at night. In addition to cabs, there is now also an Uber service in Salzburg.

Last year’s Long Night of Diversity was great fun, the author of these lines can confirm that from his own experience as runner-up in the handbag long throw. As diverse as the scene under the rainbow, as diverse is this night in Salzburg.
